This past week was so busy I’m not quite
sure what it was that I did. I know I did some things, maybe too many things, and it has left me totally wiped, ready for one slow day soon.
But this busyness isn’t the kind of busy to really complain about. It’s largely been work, but the work I’ve been hoping to do for many years now. So, while I’m definitely exhausted, I’ve been returning more and more to gratitude.
So, instead of sharing a new little essay, I’ll be sharing some photos and two new articles which were published this week. I hope you enjoy the reads! Put a lot of work into them and am very happy to share them today.

The first was a feature for the North Bay Bohemian about a joint monitoring effort in the open waters off the Marin and Sonoma coastlines. We were on the water for over 12 hours and was shocked to see so many creatures I’d never imagine I’d see in the wild, or at all, like ocean sunfish, fur seals, black-footed albatross, and blue whales.
The second is a review of the recent Casemore Gallery show Chicago, featuring the work of the late Thomas Kong. It’s such a fun and inspiring show, and if you’re in the Bay and have time, go check it out!
